In it’s “2010 Media Trust Survey” Vehr Communications sought out to determine what Cincinnati thinks of social media and how they participate online. The report is a good read. Click the picture below to see for yourself.
Some of the highlights include:
“The Social Network” a bio-film about Facebook (co)founder Mark Zukerberg opens this Friday. I am not ashamed to say I am excited. Call me a geek if you feel the urge. I’ve always been interested in movies that involve money, big business, and lead character with a flaw worthy of a Greek tragedy. I get the feeling “The Social Network” will somehow combine “Wall Street”, “Boiler Room”, the meteoric rise of a Horatio Alger character, and every thing you love/hate about social networking.

I overheard the following comment the other day regarding social media: “Personally, I think those things are just fads.”
The comment came from a fellow journalist, and I couldn’t help but think that this person is a) living in an alternate reality, and b) may soon find themselves without a job.
LinkedIn is like Facebook with a tie.
