In terms of sharing content on Facebook, the link between the publisher and the sharer says a lot. Facebook discovered that although users share much more content from close friends, the posts shared from more distant friends are actually more influential.
Twitter strikes back at Instagram and adds photo filters

The photo wars continue to be no-less than dramatic, with Twitter now adding their own photo filters to their mobile apps on Android and Apple only days after Instagram said they were pulling their photo feed from Twitter. As a clear line in the sand is being drawn, the two networks are both clawing at the chance to offer the best photo sharing experience possible.
Here’s a free Twitter Template.
There are a ton of these on the net. However, I was impressed by the “pay with a Tweet” feature. It was simply explained, and neatly presented.
- 90% of all purchase decisions begin online
- 75% of consumers shop online before they buy offline
- 85% are looking for an independent review
- 78% of people trust the recommendations of other people
- 35 minutes of every hour people spend online is on social networks
- The average person has 245 Facebook Friends, 126 Twitter Followers and 47 LinkedIn connections (recognizing, of course, no one is an average person)
- The average brand has 54 Facebook Likes (same disclaimer for brands)
- 40% of people visit a brand’s Facebook page before their website
- $71.48 is the estimated annual value of someone who Likes a brand’s Facebook page
- That’s because 28% of Facebook Fans are more likely to continue using a brand and 48% are more likely to recommend the brand to their friends
- Positive perceptions of companies increase by +36% if they have a blog on their website
- 40% of the time people are on Twitter they are researching products
- 20% of the time people are on Twitter they are buying products
- Social networks are the fastest growing category on mobile.
- 14% of people trust advertising
- Only 18% of TV advertising campaign ever achieve a positive return on investment
Here’s the short version: Every community-based site in the history of the web has essentially been a stab at creating a social network. Most of them fail as businesses, with the rare exception of small, lucky communities that become self-sufficient but not exactly prosperous. What if that’s just the way it is?

Thank you for your help!
Twitter is a human seismograph measuring the events and experiences that captivate popular culture. One of Twitter’s simplest guages for peering into the realt-ime attention spans of Generation-C is of course Twitter Trends. While somewhat customizable based on locale, Twitter Trends were…
When great creative meets great strategy.
Facebook Camera is similar to Instagram but it isnt Instagram. The new photo sharing app seems to be suited for the “Facebook” crowd. They want something like Instagram but arent interested in becoming familiar with another social network.
Functionally speaking this is a huge step for Facebook’s mobile reputation. The comments, tagging, and sharing works just ask you would expect!
