A Nielsen report has stated that Foursquare has 10.4 million monthly users, putting it third behind Facebook and Twitter in terms of monthly mobile users… this means 42% of the 25 million of those who have downloaded the app are using it regularly.
Twitter strikes back at Instagram and adds photo filters

The photo wars continue to be no-less than dramatic, with Twitter now adding their own photo filters to their mobile apps on Android and Apple only days after Instagram said they were pulling their photo feed from Twitter. As a clear line in the sand is being drawn, the two networks are both clawing at the chance to offer the best photo sharing experience possible.
